I think some of this stuff is spam, too. I've many times received an email from DAEMON@Support or some such shit with a header indicating "Permanent Failure," "Returned Message," etc. I do not even open these.

These are just standard mailerdaemon messages. There's nothing sinister or malicious about them, just normal and expected server responses. You'd get the same response if you sent an email to randomname@whateverdomain.
