Alpine deck plays 48kHz...

    ...WMAs. I ripped all the music tracks (DD 2.0 @ 448kbps) from a Concert DVD to my harddrive, transcoded to 48khz WAVs, compressed to 48khz WMAs, and then burned them to a CDR. I was pleasantly surprised that my Alpine could read and play WMAs above 44.1kHz.

    I guess I'm wondering if there's any kind of downsampling to Redbook specs before it spits out the signal to the amps. If that's the case then I'll just downsample the WAVs and steer clear of added compression.

    I need to do some more testing too because Alpine decks are known to make the music sound bright when decoding MP3s. This is my first time trying WMAs and to be honest it sounds pretty decent.
