Well here's what you do.
When you and your wife can't decide on a movie, when she isn't looking put a doggie treat in a dvd you want.
Then tell your wife they you'll let Kelly pick a movie to watch, and hopefully she will go right to the dvd with the treat in it.

Done. I had sent her the link to show her I had posted the photo of the dog and the link to the wiki, etc....so you actually told her yourself!

The photo is an outtake from some photos she had taken after a recent grooming session. Even though the dog's out-of-focus, I liked the rather forlorn expression on her face.
