I would normally never post anything quite this obtuse in a DVD software forum, but knowing the level of interest and intelligence here, I'll post away...
Many subscribers to HTF are aware of the fine publication of the ASC, American Cinematographer, to which I've subscribed since about 1967, but few are probably aware of Operating Cameraman, The Journal of the Society of Camera Operators.
The spring - summer 2005 issue has a worthy article on the shooting of the original King Kong which may be of interest.
The publication is available on select newstands or by subscription. The Society's website is www.soc.org
