There was a similar discussion about The Lady From Shanghai. I was annoyed that TCM released the first disc with lossy and was charging a premium. The film, made in the 40s, is probably one where it doesn't make much difference, but low and behold it has been re-released with lossless. In fact, if you want, you can have The Lady From Shanghai in Dolby Digital Mono (TCM 1st), Dolby True HD 2.0 (TCM 2nd) or DTS HD Master 2.0 (Mill Creek) for a real comparison party.
