6.1 receivers?? (1 Viewer)

I've been trying to assemble some faux 6.1 technology.

By hooking my Kenwood HTB 503 DD5.1-DTS system to a JVC Pro-logic receiver.

The problem is the Kenwood receiver a VR 410 has no pre-outs which I read is needed to make this happen.

Now I'm looking to upgrade to a 6.1 receiver.

Any suggestions?

Outlaw 1050 is still a pretty good deal for $499. I really enjoy using it in my 6.1 set-up (see my site for pix)

The 410 has pre outs just not a rear center pre out, which of course you need for 6.1.

The new Kenwood line looks promising, I have heard the new VR-6070 is going to be 6.1 and THX ultra certified with 6 channel discreet amplification (6x110watts) along with CS2, pre outs, basically loaded for around $600.

there is a lot of competition out there so kenwood haves to make a better product than they had, so thats whats happing they are making a lot better product now so the consumer benefits from it all, thats dam good for the comsumer.

How much money do you want to spend? I'm very satisfied with my Onkyo 797. 6.1 and THX certification for under a grand.
