What is the difference? Is it noticeable?

I'm probably getting a Sony Wega 32 inch, but there is a $100 difference between each of the 3 models and the most expensive has the 3D filter as opposed to the 3 line filter. Is it worth the extra dough?

Yes, the 3D filter is going to be better than the 3 line one. In basic terms, the 3D filter will do a better job of seperating the chroma and luminace channels with fewer NTSC artifacts such as dot crawl. The comb filter only comes into play when you input video via composite cable or standard Coaxil sources. S-video and component video sources will bypass the comb filter as they already have the chroma and luminance separated. I would say for $100 difference definitely go for the one with the 3D filter. The link below is to a website that goes in detail in describing the differences between comb filters.
