Now that baseball season is just about on us, let me put in a plea for "It Happens Every Spring", my favorite baseball movie. I've been getting by on an old Beta-tape-from-cable-burned-onto-DVD. Unfortunately, I lent the disc out and it's been lost, and even the VHS is out of print. (Guess I'll never lend this guy anything again...)

In trying to find out if there's been any hint of this coming out on DVD, I've done a lot of web-searching. It sure seems like there are a lot of people who like this movie.

Has anyone heard any news?

I concur with Qui-Gon John. Both of these movies desperately need reissues, especially True Lies since it is one of my all time favorite movies!
Other movies that warrant 16:9 reissues are
The Abyss ( really want this one)
Broken Arrow
Great Expectations
Firestorm
Dr. Dolittle

Mark, I would also like a 16:9 reissue of BROKEN ARROW and ABYSS. I did not remember that these were also FOX titles.

My sole remaining Fox title (besides the already mentioned HIGH ANXIETY) is:

AT LONG LAST LOVE
Peter Bogdanovich's 1975 musical starring Burt Reynolds, Cybill Shepherd, and Madeline Kahn.

I'm sure it's being planned by Lucasfilm, but...

STAR WARS SIX PACK DVD SET, SPECIAL EDITION

- Ep. I: The Phantom Menace
- Ep. II: Attack of the Clones
- Ep. III: Revenge of the Sith
- Ep. IV: A New Hope
- Ep. V: The Empire Strikes Back
- Ep. VI: Return of the Jedi

With all the extras and documentaries possible. But most importantly, with all the articles I read about turning them all into 3D and/or HD DVD, I'd like to see that they'd be backwards-compatible with standard 4:3 60i television. It may be a million years before I can afford that stuff.
