So far 5 for 6 (Alabama decided to show up to edge out S. Illinois by 1 point). Wake survives a total scare against VCU by one point.

I'm in three pools..

In one: excellent (perfect!)
In second: not so hot (eh :frowning:
Third: decent, though missed on both SIU and Florida ;(

I was getting nervous for Texas because they were horrible in the 1st half, but they turned it up and cruised past Princeton. So far, only the Alabama game has tripped me up so far.

UNC is making me very nervous (but that's been the case all season). Air Force is playing aggressive and well.

UNC will end up a really solid program, but asking a lot this year is too early; too much of their talent is so undisciplined, hard to ask Roy to whip them into shape so quick :frowning: That program really needed a major turn around, as they lack a lot of the depth they need as well.

In about two years though.. look out.

UNC kicked it into another gear and blew past Air Force with a 19-3 run in the final 10 minutes.

Michigan State quit on me.

Dayton is hanging tough in OT. Come on, Flyers!

Let's go, Seton Hall!

This is one of the most exciting tourneys in years. It's times like this I wonder why the basketball thread isn't more popular. :frowning: :)

Edit: AH NUTS!!! WHY ARIZONA, WHY?

On one hand, I hate Arizona for losing. On the other hand, I hate Arizona period.

Yes, Seton Hall takes care of Arizona!

Shoot! Dayton squanders the last possession and we are headed for a 2nd OT!

I'm so close to going 14-2 on the first day of the tourney...

Oh well, Dayton finally ran out of gas as Depaul's Diener just canned foul shot after foul shot to seal the win over Dayton. I went 13-3 with my sweet 16 intact.

My office pool bracket survived the first day. I am 13-3, losing Michigan State, Dayton (in double OT) and Charlotte. However, I had all three losing in the next round anyway.

13-3 here as well losing Dayton, Arizona and and South Ill. I too had them all losing next round anyway. Sweet 16 still intact.

If Maryland had lost, I'd be hosed.

14-2 after day 1 losing Arizona and Mich St. which I as well had losing in the next round anyways.

They are just easing us into next year when they will be renamed to corporate sponsorships. You will have the Gatorade bracket, the Pepsi bracket, the Excel energy bracket (as if we have a choice of which energy co. to use) and the Nextel bracket (or whatever co. wins the highest naming rights bid). Mark my words, and Im suprised it has taken em this long. All hail the mighty dollar! :rolleyes

In the future, we'll probably see the winner of the Cialis bracket meet up with the winner of the Viagra bracket. That should be interesting... who will outlast whom?
