Haven't gotten an email from the Sox yet. [IMG] I've got a metric ton of family members who entered, though, and all likely realize that if they do win, it would be a great thing to get me for my 30th birthday (tomorrow).

I'd love to see them do the big screen like they did with the All-Star game, but they don't even know when the Sat/Sun games are being played yet.

    Hmm, no edit button.

And I've watched NL games all year long. Almost all the Brave's games. That wasn't a liberal strike zone by any means, at least not in comparison to the others. There were a lot of one the edge calls that didn't go as strikes. Thank God Maddux wasn't pitching, or it would have been 10-1 cubs [IMG]

Joe West is home plate ump in ALCS. That's terrible. Get ready to start your complaining.

That's just awful. Only two weeks ago West tossed an Orioles hitter after calling him out on stikes, on a pitch that was terrible. West just went nuts. On a different night in the same series, he blew two calls. One call went against the Orioles and one went against the Red Sox. He was the third base umpire and had a tough time distinguishing between fair an foul. Behind the plate his strike zone is erratic and different from game to game. The Sox announcers even mentioned that they hoped he would not be involved in the playoffs.

    Selig's a joke.

When did Jeanie Zalasko grew all that hair? I almost didn't recognize her on the Fox broadcast last night.

It's a big (or wide) country and no matter what someone's fans get screwed. I agree that it's dumb to schedule a game so early (the Yankee game was 10 a.m on the West Coast). Is it because the MLB doesn't want two games on at the same time during the playoffs?

I think the solution is a 5pm start for weekday games played in the Pacific Time Zone and 7pm games for the East and Central Time Zones. All the games would be on at a reasonable time for you east Coasters, and, at worst, the games would start at 4pm West Coast time. It's easier for me to go home an hour early rather than have to take a half or whole day off.

Well Congrats to The Marlins for making the series 1-1. They used everyone to get that done so we'll see if this has an effect on them later if they make it that far..

And it looks at the start of it that Hampton is in trouble for the Braves..

What the fuck was that umpire thinking in the Braves game? ESPN says bad call, braves radio bad call, other radio station bad call. He blocks his foot and tags him but that's safe?

True. At least the braves stopped swinging for the 500 foot home runs. Good game.

I don't know what got into Hampton half way through the first, but I'm glad it happened.

Well I can imagine what Boston fans are saying right now. The A's though, they are getting no respect in the post season.

Both teams starting pitchers did amazing.
