Ordered the Philharmonic 3's and a Philharmonic monitor as the center today. Nothing else is totally set but I know I wanted to start with those. Now I'm thinking about subs.

Was just checking out the Logitech Harmony and it may be along our alley. We have a nest so we don't need automation of the HVAC and we have several Phillips Hue bulbs and controller already. All we really need is a way to control the AV/Home theater stuff out of sight.

I'm looking at what I imagined versus what was quoted and I find it hard to believe that what I have for about the same price wouldn't be so much better. One question that is sticking out for me is: Is the Elan controller and remote worth $2k? And also, what are the other options.

I realize it, the second receiver question is if I went with small monitors instead of the bar.

Don't know if it has any use in a system but my old av receiver is a Denon AVR 2803.

Features I reckon - such as the second HDMI out. I'm not sure about the HDMI matrix - that's one of the things I have to get smarter on.

Just read a comment on another thread about spending over 2000 on a receiver. That comment suggested that at that price I should be looking at separate amplifiers rather than an uber receiver.

Klipsch Reference RSX-4 is what the none center speakers are. The center is Reference RCX-4

Don't have them handy and it's been a while. Their bookshelf speakers I think they are RB8/RC8 IIRC. Had them maybe up to eight years.
