The booklets list each episode with a summary, but unlike the booklets in the earlier sets, they don't tell which episodes are on each disc. The disc labels don't have the episodes listed either. The only way to know what episodes are on a disc, is to put the disc in the player and look at the...
The 2017 set is all single sided discs and played fine for me. The cons with this set are the audio commentaries from previous releases weren't included and the booklets don't tell what episodes are on each disc. The Canadian release was a bigger box with a Confederate flag on top. None of the...
While it is nice to have all the seasons on single sided discs now, the new release omits some of the bonus features from the original release. No audio commentaries or Dukesvision commentaries were included on the new releases. 4-5 episodes are crammed onto each disc as well instead of the 3...
The original 4x3 image is definitely cropped and I don't like it, but this is probably the only HD version we'll get. There is a little more image on the sides, but not much. I have a few recordings from the original broadcasts and the DVDs were already cropped. Now they are cropped even more...
The latest release is all single sided. Amazon Prime has the HD version of the episodes which makes going back to the DVDs painful for me. Maybe we'll get blu rays for the 40th anniversary next year.
"One Armed Bandits" was an audio only commentary. Plenty of room on the disc for that. "In This Corner Luke Duke" was DukesVision. DukesVision is where you could watch the actors picture in picture as they give their commentary. The episode was on the DVD twice. You could watch the DukesVision...
Thanks for checking. If the disc labels are black and silver, it sounds like these are the same discs as in the complete series set. I think the commentary for "In This Corner Luke Duke" is gone on season 3 as well, I haven't had time to check. I wonder why they removed them when the other...
Oh yeah, I forgot about their probation. There was a two part episode in season 6, Undercover Dukes, where Bo and Luke go undercover posing as Nascar drivers. They can't reveal they are undercover, so they have to make Jesse and Daisy think they are really joining Nascar again.
Bo and Luke are not seen in the first episode. We see the General driving off and are told that Bo and Luke are leaving and the family are taking them to the airport. Bo and Luke's doubles are in the car, not John and Tom.
They come back for the last 4 episodes of the season. They took over doing the voice work on the animated series as well. Coy and Vance voiced season 1 and Bo and Luke voiced season 2.
These are not the remastered versions. I still have the previous DVDs and they are the same transfers.
I checked the first discs of each season and they all only have 4 episodes. Do you have the 2017 set? I don't know of any release where the first disc had 5 episodes on it.
There are no movies included in this newest set, only the 7 seasons of the show. This thread began with the image of the 2015 Canadian release that had those movies included. I posted the correct image of the new set a few posts above.
The booklets have a list of the episodes and their air dates, but don't say what disc the episodes or the extras are on. I think these are the same booklets that came with the 2015 releases. Since the discs have been re-authored, they have removed the Disc 1 Side A/Side B headings from the...
Got my set today and I can confirm all the seasons are now on single sided discs. The episodes are unfortunately the same transfers as the previous releases. There are 4-5 episodes per disc, but they still look good. The discs are not stacked like they were in the 2015 release. Aside from being...
As I thought, the original picture posted is of the Canadian set released 2 years ago. No way was the flag going to be on the box. Here is the correct picture of the set being released tomorrow. Interesting that Amazon lists it as a 40 disc set but the single season sets only add up to 33 discs...
If these are new transfers, lets also hope we get unedited versions of Carnival of Thrills, 10 Million Dollar Sheriff, and Treasure of Hazzard. And please don't be cropped to 16:9.
How old is your nephew? If this set is the same as the Canadian version, be aware that it contains the unrated versions of the 2 movies.
I am eagerly awaiting a Dukes hi-def release, whether it be blu-rays or digital downloads. They have had hi-def masters for a few years now, so I don't know...
I have sent them an email asking if they are sure that is the right photo. It looks exactly like the Canadian release from 2 years ago. I just can't see Warner Bros putting a huge confederate flag on that packaging in the US in today's PC culture. With all the recent issues of flags, monuments...
Probably just wishful thinking, but maybe these will use the new HD masters. Mill Creek used the HD masters for Knight Rider on dvd (5-6 episodes on each single sided disc) before putting out the blu rays.
Seasons 4,5 and 7 were single sided the first time around, so nothing changed there. The reason I think the season 1 re-release didn't sell well was because we didn't get 2,3 and 6 released and it looks like there were plenty of season 1 stock left over so they just threw them in the complete...
I tried the discs on two different DVD drives and two different DVD ripper programs. The problems usually would begin at the end of the 2nd episode or the start of the 3rd on each side.Since it seems to be a manufacturing problem, I guess I won't bother re-buying this set. Seasons 3 and 6 won't...
I bought the Dukes of Hazzard Complete Collection that was released in Canada. It has the same exact discs as the previous season releases, but none of the double sided discs will play. Anyone else have this problem? The discs come stacked on top of each other, but I don't see any scratches bad...
The dvd version of Knight of the Drones is the original 2 hour version. It just silenced the song. The dvd version does use the wrong opening credits. Knight of the Drones has a unique opening credit that does not reveal KITT's new dash. The dvd uses the regular season 3 opening credits. Don't...
