I think I figured my volume issue out. I turned up the volume of each speaker in the settings of the Denon. Guess they were just too low.
thanks all for the help
Not that you had any doubts, but plugging the fire stick into the receiver WORKED!! I thank you.
Now, the fire stick only works when the receiver is on. So it's either surround sound all the time or nothing. Pick your poison I guess.
Now that you got that to work, I have a couple more...
Yes, I believe I know what you are saying here. I ran into this problem when I had everything connected. If I had, let's say the PS3 on, and turned everything off.......the next time I turn the system on, the system would remember that I had the receiver on for sound. I would need to turn the...
hmmmm, Alright, that makes sense.
The reason I disconnected everything was because I no longer use any of it.
The PS3 was only hooked up so I could watch Netflix through it. The DVD player never gets used any longer since I am streaming everything now.
About a month ago, I started using the...
Little rundown.....
I have a Denon Receiver AVR-1513. I have an LG 55LN5100 TV
At one point, I had my TVCable box, PS3, and DVD player all hooked up. When I changed source, the sound would come through the surround sound speakers, and not through the TV, unless I had the stereo off. Which...
ok, thank you. i will check that website.
I really dont want to spend that much. why? well its only for internet and movies to the tv. dont use the online portion much other than that
Can anyone recommend a good wireless/wifi router for streaming movies via Netflix through my television? Obviously the cheaper the better but I would like a good quality one.
I currently have a Linksys WRT54G and it always drops the internet connection. So I'd like to replace it but want a...
ya, i read somewhere that you can select a setting on a receiver that will set all your surround speakers to the same sound level.............am i in my own dillusional world about this? does this not exist?
well thats a nifty site!!!
Do you know if the Denon-AVR1513 has "auto sycronizing"? I read about this online on some receiver units
i should have just personal messaged you :D
Before I buy a digital sound meter to sycronize my home theater speakers, has anyone ever downloaded a sound meter app on their smart phone and compared it to an actual sound meter? how close were the results???? can I use that app rather then buying a meter and have pretty darn good results?
I see. Makes sense. .......Like I said I'm new to all this and am used to the plug n play things that are ready to go from the start (htib) thank you for your help. ......... (You seem to be on here a lot! :) )
But I'm still stumped on which dvd rating each speaker should be at. I can give it a level of a negative dvd or a positive dvd........I want the best sound. I notice the subwoofer also has a volume control. Right now I have it at 50%
Ok. After going through the user manual, it shows me how to adjust all settings as I feel fit. But it doesn't tell me where the settings should be. Can anyone help me? I did set the speakers at 150hz
As promised, I am back.
To recap, I bought an AVR-1513 receiver and I purchased the Yamaha NS-SP1800BL speaker system to compliment it. Everything came in today and everything is hooked up and working great..........sorta
Once I got everything hooked up, I revisited the speaker set up option...
i used to live by sony everything, if i could afford it at the time. then samsung came in to the picture as well as all these others so it made me second guess my thoughts.
i have never had a problem with sony at all!! But, with it being home theater type stuff, i figured you guys would know...
I notice that has a lot of reviews/purchases....is this a good player for the money?
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S3100-Blu-ray-Player-Wi-Fi/dp/B00AWKC0EC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1388806391&sr=8-2&keywords=blu+ray+player
i dont mind cheap but im also ok with spending 50-80 on a player...
i apologize for my lack of knowledge but when i google "tight wire" connectors, i don't see anything that relates to what i am trying to accomplish. can you help me out a little more?
thank you
I would have to agree Edwin. It is definitely cheaper. I have done it this way for years. I guess in a way, once they are connected, they are set and shouldnt need to be moved again.........
Sure I'd be saving $12, which makes more sense!!
I have a question about whether I should buy a dvd player or stick to my ps3 as the main source of playing a disk. I don't really have a desire to watch movies in blu-ray which the ps3 normally played.
100% of my movies are your standard dvd player. If I were to purchase a dvd player, do they...
