Am so glad I am not the only one experiencing this issue. I can watch a 90 year old film on TCM and understand every syllable- but if I watch a new series or film on Netflix, I can’t understand half of the dialog. Just canceled Netflix.
Great video. I gave up watching the Crown some time ago due to the fact that I couldn’t understand much of the dialogue. It seems that if a movie or series is being made to stream and not be shown in theaters, Atmos with 128 channels would not be needed? Isn’t 5.1 or 7.1 enough?

I set the digital output format to Passthrough then I moved the hdmi connection from the tv to the receiver. I cannot find roku on the tv. Is there something else that I need to do.

It’s the best theater in town. The have the Film Noir Film Festival every summer. Also screen White Christmas for 2 weeks every December- I never miss that.
The Michael Todd Theater in Chicago was the best- it showed The Sound of Music there for 2 years. It was a small theater with a huge screen. The Cinestage Theater was next door- it had a curved screen and showed Cinerama films.
