Thanks Sam,
When you talked about the dust caps i thought u meant the big cover that usually covers the entire speaker.
If it won't affect the sound then i don't mind keeping them in peace, i would hate to damage them during the replacement.

IS it an option to keep the main speakers on full band and...

Hi, i recently got the Onkyo 606 and i have these front speakers SS MF315

Their age is 5 years soo i hope as it was mentioned above the receiver is in the safe mode.

Hi, i found this used package
Receiver is Onkyo with Sony speakers
As you can see it's used, i think that the subwoofer is the weak point in this package.
What do you think of this deal? considering that it's in a mint condition?

i thought its a matter of numbers and thats it, like choosing a tweeter with the specs (X, y and z) and speaker with those specs and it should work!
I was asking around and someone told me that there is no need for crossovers, and that the tweeter will handle the high...
Hey Ty, excuse my modest english :)
Just to make sure i understood you, you meant to tell me that subs are easier to build than speakers?

I was reading about building middle speakers and i saw that i would need to use crossovers so its not only about getting speakers...
