Are the Kef Q9's worth entertaining at $1400 for the set? I must say I wasn't particularly blown away. Very good sound quality up against some Polks and JBL nightlife towers, no offense intended to Kef fans but there must a competitor in sound quality for the money(oops! my miser is showing)

Appreciate the tips. My research list keeps growing as does the need for a bigger budget.

Perhaps I will explore them a little further then. I think the prestige line may be a little out of reach at this juncture.

I'm not trying to throw them under the bus. It was a pretty small demo room. Maybe they need room to gallop?

The Saturn LCR's were recommended for my front left, right and centre. And the Mercury V1's for rears with a TS2 10" sub. Retail $2048.95, but the salesman 'helped me out' and brought it down to $1569.95. I'm sure there's better sound for the money than those.
