My number one wish is The Mosquito Coast from 1986. I still don't understand how a Harrison Ford/Helen Mirren/River Phoenix movie can be buried now. Even a TV remake did not generate interest in it...
The Poseidon Adventure (50th anniv in 2022!)
The Towering Inferno
The Sound of Music
Cleopatra
Poltergeist
The first 4 are Fox titles, so Disney will just sit on 'em forever and the current blurays are all we will ever see... : (
I would love to see THE MOSQUITO COAST (1986), and was hoping a bluray release would happen due to the new Justin Theroux series. I don't understand how it is mostly a forgotten movie now; three superstars, and an oscar-nominated performance. It has so much going for it!
Friday the 13th - Part 3. Waited 38 years to see it in real 3D; finally saw it a couple weeks ago on my 11.5 foot by 5 foot projection screen... fantastic effects. LOTS of 'in your face' stuff. Murder weapons, wild animals, eyeballs, yoyos, hands, you name it! Yes, very cheezy, but that's...
I read about a possible TV series of The Mosquito Coast a few months ago. Let's hope it happens, and results in a bluray release of the Harrison Ford / Helen Mirren 1980s film! Can't believe it is not out already.

CRITERION CHANNEL Sound Question:
Will films eventually be available with original sound mixes? Some stereo titles are streaming in mono sound (for example 'Mother', and 'The Elephant Man'), while other films with 5.1 mixes stream in 2.0 stereo.
SOUND MIXES:
Has anyone else noticed that some stereo titles are streaming on Criterion in mono? For example 'Mulholland Dr'', ''The Elephant Man''.
While some stereo movies with 5.1 mixes on bluray, only have 2.0 stereo on Criterion Channel.
Is there a setting that I have missed ??
ISSUE WITH APPLE PRODUCTS: I have written to Criterion last week about this, and they are aware, and working on the problem (they replied to me 4 days ago).
I noticed it right away when I watched my first movie on this service (also The Lineup!). I have a new 4K Apple TV, and also tried on old...
'Good Times' was a spinoff of 'Maude' which was a spinoff of 'All in the Family'.
And 'Checking In' was a spinoff of 'The Jeffersons', which was also a spinoff of 'All in the Family'.
The picture area is 11.5 x 5.
I have tons of pictures in my gallery, and descriptions of everything.

Here are pics of all the ratios 1.78 and up on my 2.35 screen. Sorry for the washed out colors, I left the lights on to see the difference between the black frame and 'wasted space'.

With the shape of my wall, a 1.78...
Ron, check out the difference in size a 2.35 screen makes for a 2.35 movie, instead of having it in the middle of a 1.78 screen (both pics taken from same spot).
It does not seem that big in the pictures, but in person it makes quite an impact.
There is one foot between the lens and the back of the last seat. In 'eco mode', you can barely hear the projector fan even when sitting in the middle back row.
