No, I was listening to the same content I always listened to.
I think it was a combination of two things--the sub needing to be power-cycled and then the receiver not set up to output to the sub (because the receiver didn't see the sub so I didn't have the option to output to it).

Thanks. I was playing around with it and decided to unplug/plug in the sub since I hadn't tried that (to cycle the power). Once I did that, it sat for a bit, then seemed to get the signal and the LED switched to green (indicating it had a signal). Still nothing from the sub.
So I went back...
Hmm, I wonder why it's not working then. I had just connected both cables to the sub (from the 1 and 2 output on the receiver) not thinking it was different. But I'm getting nothing to the sub. :(
Just picked up the Denon avr s910w and trying to get it to work with my Mirage BPS-150 sub. The sub has the two inputs (L/R), which I used with my previous receiver. However, the Denon has two sub outputs but they are not L/R, they are for two separate subs.

This TV is supposed to pass the audio through so it should be digital. That's the reason they have a digital out on the TV. Otherwise, why bother with the added expense?
Also, it says in the documentation it passes it through.
Just picked one of these up. So far, I'm somewhat impressed with the color reproduction and sharpness of the set. It can be confusing working with it though. It's an Android TV (essentially) and then there's the LG interface. But that's all another story.
