I heard that Warner Archives released the 70´s series "Bronk" on DVD on June4th.
I don´t know this series.
Is it good?
Can you recommened a "blind-buy"?
Where can I order it because I can´t find it on amzon.com
I can´t order it with Warner Archive because they don´t ship to Europe.
I absolutely agree. Some announcements are just odd. There´re so many popular titles and they released titles that not many people will buy.
I´m desperately waiting for example for the Bronson movies "St.Ives" and "Telefon".
If the rights were with another company, it´d already be out on blu-ray.
Great film, an absolute classic in Europe. Saw it in 1981 when I was 11 years old in the theater. Belmondo´s best action film, great action scenes, great music.
Good entertaining movie but not as good as Belmondo´s "Le Professional". Belmondo´s English voice(he can´t speak English, his friend Delon is fluently in English) is strange. Henry Silva played the villain in that movie.
As usual Belmondo did all of his stunts by himself.
I´m not satisfied with the latest Warner Archive announcements. Nothing to buy for me. Who chooses the titles by Warner?
I can´t imagine that many people buy those blu-rays.
I wait for some Bronson, Eastwood or Burt Reynolds movies. Titles like "Best Friends", Stroker Ace, St. Ives, Telefon...
What are you talking about?
The only weakness that Reynolds had was that he made too many "silly movies" that didn´t allow him to show what a great actor he really was.
Reynolds was also a great leading man. The biggest movie star in Hollywood for 5 consecutive years. Nobody did that before or...
"Where were you when the lights went out": I once saw it on German TV and I thought the film was boring as hell. I still can remember the main song of the movie.
The set must have "compression issues". I mean 27 episodes on 4 discs.
That means 6 or 7 episodes per disc. That´s too much episodes per disc.
But I wait until I get the set.
Jimmy, can you be more precisely About the Picture Quality?
"Hawaii Five 0", Streets of San Francisco" were remastered in HD, so I guess the Picture Quality is not as good as These two series.
But If I´m not mistaken the Picture quality of "Dan August" is much better than "Barnaby Jones" or...
That´s baloney. The episodes of "The Streets of San Francisco" were 48 minutes long, "Cannon" also. The episodes were never 53 minutes long. 5 minutes cut? Never!
Therefore I presume the "Dan August" episodes are uncut.
4 discs for 26 episodes ?
That means 6 respectively 7 episodes per disc and you say the picture quality is excellent?
How do you know that the picture quality is excellent?
It´s going to come out in 2 weeks.
Does VEI also ship to Europe or only within the USA/Canada?

The big question will be: How is the picture quality?
I expect that it will be only a little better than the William Conrad series at the time and we all know that it wasn´t remastered after all.
Here´s something special that many Mike Connors fans didn´t know.
In 1974 Burt Reynolds was the guest host of "The Tonight Show" for his pal Johnny Carson.
His last guest was Ben Johnson. Both were filming the Robert Aldrich movie "Hustle" at the time.
Reynolds showed a clip from the set...
Fan Collector: The episodes of Season 2+3 (Matt Houston) go around 46:30 minutes?
If I´m not wrong the episodes of Season 1 (CBS/Paramount HD remastered) go around 49 minutes.
That would mean that the episodes of Season 2 and 3 would be cut by 2,5 minutes.
God, I hate Mill Creek.
"Matt Houston" The complete Series hasn´t been released yet.
It will come out on August25th(https://www.amazon.com/Matt-Houston-Complete-Collection-Horsley/dp/B01HN3SURQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1469387779&sr=1-1&keywords=matt+houston+complete+series
Look at my link. The selling numbers for the blu-ray sets were too low in the USA. That´s the reason why you US- folks only got the last seasons on DVD.
That´s pretty odd because I can´t imagine and I´m convinced that the selling numbers couldn´t be that high in Germany.

The sixth Season will be released in mid September but again only on DVD in the USA.
As a German I wait till Season 6 will be released in Germany.
