Mister Lime, Back in January you said Dersu Uzala had 'some issues'. I wonder if you could elaborate. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. As it was 70mm im sure it could look stunning on Bluray. Strangely, as far as I can tell, there isn't even a Japanese Bluray of this yet!

I have posted every day faithfully on MGM fb and twitter. I also post every day on the John Wayne and TCM facebook pages asking for supporters.

You would think after all this fuss MGM would just say 'oh go ahead and restore it, so long as it doesn't cost us anything'.

I once thought IAMMMMW wasn't going to happen. So I have to believe it's possible.

Money should not be the problem. Surely there is a way to raise the money. I would donate to any kickstarter fund. Corporations, the Wayne family, celebrities interested in film preservation - surely the money could be raised.

I posted on MGM's facebook and twitter. I also joined the 'Save The Alamo' facebook page. I emailed the John Wayne Enterprises site (which i believe is headed by his son). Show your support. Post on MGM's pages. 'Like' the Alamo posts. Maybe this fan campaign will go viral.

I'm confused. Does a restored print of IAMMMMW exist? I have seen recent sites advertizing screenings of a restored 70mm version running 197 min. The Film Society Lincoln Center showed it on Saturday, December 22, 2:00pm and Friday, December 28, 5:15pm 2012...
