    You are right... Overall the system performs much better.. I did do the audyssey setup and do not know what the gain was for the sub .. I believe it was -3.......

    Right now the left and right channels already 90 Hz the center channel is 80 Hz to surround channels are in the hundred and 20 Hz and the sub is 150 Hz

    This is my Sub....I currently have the crossover and sub volume all the way up....when I turn these there is no change in the sound..I'm assuming that is because my receiver controls it now...before with the HTIB I have regular speaker wire running from my sub outputs speaker wire "clips" to one...

    On my Denon the crossover goes on up into the 200's......from 40 to up into the 200's....with it connected via LFE the controls on the sub itself can no longer be used.....so are you saying to put it on up into the 200's? and should I select LFE or LFE + Main in the Bass control setting?

    Hello... I just received my first receiver and was wanting some help setting it up..I have a Velodyne VRP 12 sub.. Energy cb5 fronts and energy take center and surrounds.. Should I just use the audyssey mic? I'd rather manually set it up.. Thought I'd ask the pros...thanks!

    the sub has two rca channels a L and a R .....Velodyne even recommended to get the best sound to use the Y cable....they even include a cable like it when the unit was purchased.....are you sure?

    awesome....I might holler at you again when I start to set up my system.....might need help adjusting the crossover etc....just ordered my banana plugs..speaker wire and "Y" plug with RCA for my sub.....Man I love Monoprice! they are awesome.....     I bought the energy take 5.o speakers....now I'm looking for the other 2 to complete my 7.1......can I get 2 Polk R7's and mix them with the Take's...for the rear surrounds? or should I get 2 Polk R8's and use those for the front L & R and the Takes as all surrounds??
