I tried unplugging/unhooking everything. Set it all back up and no dice. My upscaling was set to auto. I tried changing it to through, didnt work. I dont see anything about the tv power off setting or deep color. (Tried changing it on ps3 didnt help) this is starting to get pretty frustrating...
Alight well ill give that a try in the morning. Hopefully that does it because I really don't wanna have to unplug and plug the hdmi everytime I turn it on lol. Thanks for the tip. Ill let you know how it goes tomorrow
So I finally got my w1070 yesterday. Been playing around with it and so far love it. Great picture and brightness. But more about all that when I actually finish the setup and ill post a review. I'm having issues with it getting a signal... whenever I turn it on it always says no signal. I've...
Ya I was planning on making it out of 1x3 or 4s. Depends on which I can find straighter at my local lumber yard. And I'd like it to be a little easier to mount and unmount then having it bolted to some studs. I think ill probably just go with the picture hangers.
I have a pretty good idea of what the size will be. But that's why I'm waiting till I get the projector to get final measurements and build. But still don't see what that has to do with anything that I'm asking. I have a pretty good handle on what I'm doing. Just looking for suggestions on how...
Also... does anyone know if this universal mount will work for the benq w1070? www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000TUDOQ8/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1360261039&sr=8-1&pi=SL75
So I'm still in waiting to get my projector so I can start measuring everything out to build my screen (will use spandex) I'm just trying to get as much of the planning done before hand as possible. Figured I would see what people thought about the best ways to mount the screen to the wall. I...
Can anyone throw a couple links to good forums about diy screens and spandex type/color combos. I know I've read then on here before but can't seem to find them now while I'm at work. Thanks :)
I plan on keeping an updated progress thread for piecing together the rest of my home theater set up seeing as I know ill be asking more questions and to thank all the people that have helped me out with it so far.
That was my worry. Thanks for the conformation lol. Think I'm just gonna stick with the w1070. Just wishing I would have bought it yesterday when it was $200 bucks cheaper...
Was looking for some advice on this projector. They have factory refurbs for $1k-$1100. Even though its a few years old now would this still be a good deal? Would I be happier with this lcd projector then I would be with the benq w1070? I know the epson is easier to place than the benq but is...
I emailed someone at projectorpeople and they told me it was on a $200 off promotion from Benq. She said she didnt know if and when it would be back on sale but ill be keeping an eye out I guess. Might just trying looking for something else
So after comparing, reading and talking to you guys I'm planning on buying the benq w1070. The plan was to wait about a week till I got my tax return but I'm starting to get impatient lol. Went on to look at it a little bit ago and it seems everywhere I looked has upped their prices on it 2-3...
The benq5920 is looking pretty good right now. I feel like the reviews and specs are just a little better (and its newer). And its 100 bucks cheaper right now
Like I said the posistion of the projector isnt really a big deciding factor to me. Wherever it has to be put ill be able to make it work. From 5 feet to 20 feet back. Ceiling/floor. Not really gonna be a problem. I'm more interested in the bang for the buck.. picture quality,performance...
Placement isnt gonna matter too horribly much. I have enough options for rearranging the room I can accommodate finding a spot for it. But yes I'm aiming for a screen size somewhere between 80" and 120"
I'm thinking about buying a new one... leaning towards something like the the optoma hd20 (or gt750e because its alot cheaper and 3d but only 720) or the viewsonic pro8200. Would like to stay in that price range somewhere. Will mostly be used for gaming/netflix on my ps3.(which is going through...
I just bought an Onkyo 515 a/v receiver and it should be here early next week. I would like to have it networked wirelessly but am not sure which adapter I should buy. I see quite a few for all around 20-40 dollars. Not sure how much of a difference they all make or anything so I figured I...
So not really worth it then? Lol. I guess with the warranty I'd be willing you take the risk on it. Can always return it. Would just rather not have to deal with it. But thank you for your help and advise. Been a big help :)
Alright well ill look into it a little myself then as well. So now another question since your quick with the responses. Is there a difference between the 515 and 616? Is there something that makes the 6 worth the extra 50 bucks?
Right now my speakers are in need of an upgrade as well. But that's gonna have to wait a little bit. Need the receiver first. I have a pair of old pioneer 3way floor speakers and some small surround speakers. I use my ps3 most of the time for all my streaming and gaming. If the hdmi problems...
So I've decided its time to upgrade my receiver a little bit. Don't have a huge budget. Need to stay around 250-300. I've been looking and researching the last month or two and so far these are the front runners that I've come across. Sony STRDH720 7.1 This seems like a pretty solid receiver for...
