Tried everything. Customer service is working on some trouble shooting. but i may need to get a new one delieverd to swap out they said. And that was a pain to put up!....so many...so many holes in my wall(tv is still crooked!
Finally installed my Vizio 60" Black Friday walmart special , but after turning it on i noticed a grouping of lines a little more then halfway down the screen running horizontally. I tried almost everything. Unplugging, holding the off button, turning back on trick.....trying different inputs...
So if i just buy this... http://www.lowes.com/pd_82954-334-270LA-SP-L_4294722561__?productId=1101861&Ntt=recessed+outlet&Ns=p_product_price|0 Then buy a simple surge protector, i should be ok?
next question......i just finally opened up my new tv...see that its only a two prong cord....does this mean it does not need to be grounded? but in order for it to be hooked to a surge protector it would still need to be converted to a 3 prong outlet correct?
Well..main necesity is Make sure tv doesnt break if there is a power surge and make sure i dont break the bank while doing so. I have room behind the tv and since the tv is 60" i will never see what i put behind it anyway. I just want to make sure whatever i do that its done properly with proper...
Would that be the best way to go...best price? Or would it make more sense to go the non fancy route and slap one of these on? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-6-OUTLET-POWER-STRIP-SURGE-PROTECTOR-WALL-TAP-w-Shutdown-Protection-/220911232091?afsrc=1
I have an outlet behind my fireplace (two prong right now) and need to upgrade it to a three prong before i hook the new 60" up. What is the best Outlet to go with? And do i need to worry about getting a surge protector for the TV? Is there an inexpensive solution...like an all in one version...
