    The fact that the old DVD, laser, and VHS had the consistency led me to believe that was the original mix/soundtrack of the film. I know some movies have had many different sound mixes, but I still think it was an oversight. I hope someday we can see a restored MARNIE.

    Some clarification. I have two DVD releases of MARNIE. The earlier release was in a box set in two parts (Hitchcock Collection). The Marnie DVD has the number 20587 on the bottom of the spine.
