Win an Onkyo TX-NR1030 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AV Receiver

I'll start this off simply stating that life hasn't been dealing me the best hand lately. I have spent 9 years serving my country with faithful allegiance as a fighter jet aircraft armament technician (bomb/missile loader in simpler terms). This career field and service in general can take its...

    WTB: Onkyo TX-NR717 or equivalent

717 on order, I cannot wait to experience the difference. Ive only owned an old crappy JVC first, then the onkyo ht-r550 and now this tx-nr717, Im hoping it is a huge difference to what im used to.

    WTB: Onkyo TX-NR717 or equivalent

That makes sense, everything I'm running is 93db and up so I will likely go with the 717 and see where I stand with room correction. now that I think of it, we have vaulted ceilings and a pretty open living room, this probably doesn't help since the room cannot be "filled" with sound.

    WTB: Onkyo TX-NR717 or equivalent

Would I then be better served running a dedicated receiver alongside some sort of auxillary amplification to run the remainder of my theatre? I have noticed that it seems many people run a similar setup with a dedicated central receiver and then a secondary power source to run another section of...

    WTB: Onkyo TX-NR717 or equivalent

Am I looking correctly at the power ouput for these Onkyo receivers? rated at 125/ch 20Hz to 20 kHz 8 ohms, is that a constant 125? or is this peak power output?

    WTB: Onkyo TX-NR717 or equivalent

? the onkyo 717, 818, 809 and thats just off of the top of my head, and that is just 1 company. I may look into the 110/ch receivers as well seeing that i am running rf-82's, rb-61's, rs-42's and an rc-52 center. 125/ch may be a little overkill.

Which receiver is best for my Klipsch setup?

Good info Jason and schan....so do I want to be concerned with frequency range when looking for a receiver?. This was a used receiver so unfortunately there was no room correction with it when I bought it, could this be suspect in my audio setup?

Which receiver is best for my Klipsch setup?

I am still fairly new to the home audio thing. I started out with Klipsch quintet II with a Dayton Audio sub and have upgraded to klipsch rf-82's, an rc-52II, rb-61's and rs-42's. I am currently running an Onkyo ht-sr550 receiver from the ht-sr800 HTIB, this was my starter receiver for the...
