Probably this would help you. http://www.dolby.com/us/en/consumer/setup/connection-guide/home-theater-speaker-guide/index.html this was given to me by the experts in this forum. My set up is : 1) Pioneer 1122k AVR 2) Martin Logan surrounds & center. 3) BIC f 12 Subwoofer 4) 14" wires connecting...
OK, so finally i ordered a BIC F12...should come in sooon... unfortunately for the ML sub..the seller at Amazon is of no help and they are giving all sorts of lame execuses... probably would open up the SUB and send the plate to the ML guys...
I think that there would be something like an HDMI switch which should do the work for you...not sure..but again there are plenty of champs in this forum to confirm that...
yea.. i guess the whole weekend would go in debugging this ( well not a bug exactly : ) ) .. so to start with unplug all the wires from the receiver and attach one by one...
Thanks for your reply... for the surge protector..i have 2 and tired using both of them....still the problem persists....both are a month old... the receiver shuts off while watching netflix but that is via my Apple TV connected to one of my HDMI inputs on the receiver....i tried switching the...
Hi, i have setup a Pioneer AVR 1122k with a set of Martin Logan 5.1 and everything was working fine till a month...now all of a sudden while watching some movies on Netflix the AVR automatically shuts down...any idea what the issue can be? i did check the rear panel for some wires shorting but...
Got it, now i understand what you meant by matching :) .. so i should either go for the same kind of ML subwoofer both sides or better to have just 1 BIC
OK, so BIC F12 is what i think is looking as a much better option, however one thing which i dont know how that works is when 2 sub woofers are attached how are the "thumps" and the booms shared? i have a Martin Logan Subwoofer ( part of MLT 2 set ) which is going to be replaced soon as it...
Oh boy..HSU does look like a good option...however when you say matching speakers what exactly should match? the wattage? or inches? HSU--400 bucks! the below one...looks like got the best reviews on a Subwoofer in amazon..., how would the below fare...
If you have even a decent sized room, i would really suggest to go for a proper HT , any of the sound bars really do not do much justice. there are lot of options out there and especially in this forum there have been folks who helped me out in selecting mine up. Setting a SB is a shortcut and...
Yea...they want me to remove off the back plate and send that in the mail. I just think it would be better to send the full SUB and have them check the whole thing, i was finding the output from the sub a little less at times as well....
on a separate note, since i have the flexibility to add...
Contacted Martin Logan.. told them that the subwoofer makes the noise with it being powered up. The Av receiver is off and still the bursts come in...they confirmed that the back plate is faulty...returning the subwoofer:(
OK, so was out on a Road Trip and was away from the HT for some time :D, anyway after a gap of a week i switched it on and there comes the frequent bursts of sound from the Sub woofer. The electrical point is a 2 point wire, should i change that to a 3 pin one? the sound is pretty nagging at...
Ground Loop...checking that..something do with an "imperfect" ground....i have connected everything to a Monster Surge protector....how do i eliminate that?
btw...i got your Yay in the mail but not here. :), do u really like the ground loop sound?:)
I did that twice and i do hear the thumping sound but then after some time the tiny bursts again intermeittently start again...is there something which i have to take care for the subwoofer? like keep it off ?
I noticed that there is a phase setting behind 0 & 180...there is also a low pass...
Ok got it .. so essentially when i get additional 2 speakers i should ideally be placing them much behind?? as of now the rear surround speakers are on the rear wall of my room ...so the additional 2 can they sit somewhere lower? ....
for the subwoofer...: just realized that since yesterday its...
Oh ok...have to get that then!
Also another confusion now.. i was playing some 5.1 Dolby surround videos from You tube and noticed that i couldnt hear any output from my rear speakers!,, the Pioneer manual has 2 surround areas.
The 2 rear speakers are around 3 feet above from my couch and...
It gives me an option to directly go to 150 and not in between.....should i try that? Also..in the network setup it shows the IP as all 0 , have set as DHCP = ON....any idea how do i place this on my Wifi network?
