Thank you, Jeff!
I agree with you about Newman and Howard. They had good chemistry. I always enjoyed Howard on Dallas and it was fun to see her here. However, I also like Diana Muldaur, so I will be interested to see her performance as Mrs. Petrocelli in the film.
While The Lawyer, the 1970 film that led to this series, was not included on the DVD set, I just noticed that it looks like Kino plans to release it on May 14.
The Lawyer
I enjoyed watching the show on VEI’s series set, so I look forward to finally getting to see the original film on Blu.
Thank you all so much for the welcome back and kind comments. Truly means a lot.
Mike - This is definitely a learning process and exercise in patience, pushing myself to get better while also picking up on those signs not to overdo things. But so far so good. Appreciate the advice!

Been awhile since I last posted. I had a stroke back in August. Talk about having your world turned upside down. But I’ve been back at home since November, getting stronger every day, and last month I finally started working again (half days). And while I hadn’t really felt like posting (or felt...
No thanks. Kino has a good track record for releasing things I either want or am willing to try. Leaving it up to the results of a message board popularity contest, I think I’ll end up with far less. Better to let them handle their business. Why mess with something that works?
Thank you for also releasing this separate Blu for the film and not just the 4KUHD/BR combo.
I never did get around to purchasing the old Olive BR, so I look forward to this.
While I’d definitely like to see complete releases of MRFD and Private Secretary (along with The Ann Sothern Show), my most wanted 50s sitcom is Burns & Allen. I would hope that this imagined complete series set would also include the one season after Gracie retired and it was renamed The George...
I would love a Blu upgrade of ITHOTN, especially if it meant the inclusion of all the episodes TGG Direct left out. What they released was better than nothing, but I think it deserves even better.
I posted the above in 2018. Love Thy Neighbor should still be added as to my knowledge it never did get a release.
Nice that Ozzie & Harriet is now off the list and on the way to becoming entirely available. Unfortunately, the list is still too long and I don’t think that will change.
Looks like another great noir set. I’m especially looking forward to Black Tuesday. I’ve never seen it, but since it features Peter Graves and Milburn Stone I know I will enjoy it.
I hadn’t looked at HLN (a.k.a. The Forensic Files Channel) in years, and was surprised while channel surfing during last Thanksgiving weekend to see them running a marathon of The West Wing. They did it again at the end of the year for about a week. On one Sunday earlier this year - maybe Easter...
You’re thinking of TNN. It was The Nashville Network for years. In 2000 it was changed to The National Network (sometimes referred to as The New TNN). Then in 2003 it became Spike TV.
Ron, thanks for posting this combination of good news and bad news. I’d given up on Retro adding any additional episodes, so I’m happy to learn that 9 months of shows from 1980 are now available. I had started going slower in my viewing of the episodes to make what was available last longer. So...
Placed my first order:
The Cameraman
Citizen Kane
Deep Cover
Double Indemnity
High Sierra
Hollywood Shuffle
Kiss Me Deadly
Red River
Stagecoach
Targets
Left a few more in my wish list. I expect to place another smaller order in a couple of weeks.
Just placed my order for both 21 Beacon Street and the 3rd volume of The O. Henry Playhouse.
So that’s 2 more complete series added to my collection. (I’d purchased the previous 2 Playhouse volumes a few weeks ago.) Obscure gems that would not have even been on my radar as possibilities if not...
I don’t know that CF wants this to become a wishlist thread and so I haven’t listed any titles I’d like for them to offer up, but I too would love to see both of Ann’s shows released someday.
I didn’t have Nick at Nite in the mid/late-80s when they were rerun and don’t remember seeing them once...
Hard to believe the terrible news about Network. It’s a good wake up call that one can’t take for granted that the producers of physical media (especially the classic and obscure stuff many of us like) will always be around. Even big ones like Network can suddenly disappear without warning one...
Looks like another nice noir set. Iron Man, which I’ve not seen before, is the one I most look forward to, thanks to the presence of James Arness and Jim Backus.
Wow, an “Iron Man” film I actually want to own. Never expected that.
Agreed. When WAC started releasing Medical Center, it was a blind buy for me. I ended up really enjoying it and am so glad they released all of the seasons.
I like what I’ve seen so far of Marcus Welby, but wish the sets hadn’t stalled after only Season 2.
Thanks for posting that announcement, Robert.
I’m still waiting on an order I placed on 4/21. While I’m patient about these things, I’m nearing the stage of getting slightly antsy about my status. Fortunately, none of the items in my order are part of that On Order list, so maybe mine might get...
I’ve watched a few Happy Days episodes this weekend as well. I know it shows up occasionally on Me-TV but it’s actually been a few years since I’ve seen any episodes.
While I like the entire series, the years with Ron Howard are still the best. As a kid, I wasn’t a fan of the first 2 seasons...
I wouldn’t worry yet. The large order I placed on 4/12 just arrived on Wednesday (4/26). My 4/21 smaller order hasn’t shipped yet. I just try not to think about it and the shipping notice emails eventually always show up.
