    Best compact center channel

Yeah, they say the center channel and subwoofer are the things you need to focus on. I already have a BIC F-12, solid sub, and was going to get the Polk Audio CS2 Series II, but way to huge. I just reorganized a furniture a bit, and I think compact is the way to go, but I really don't want to...

    Best compact center channel

I am really liking the Polk TL compact speaker series. Great combination of looks, quality, and sound quality (from reviews). From my understanding, this is their lineup (amazon prices): TL1: Center - $74 Bookshelves - $79 (each) TL2: Center - $139 (out of stock temporarily) Bookshelves - $95...

Are these actually good or did you just go to amazon and click "sort by rating"?

    Best compact center channel

None so far. I guess I'll need to match them, but I would like a center channel recommendation first.

    Best compact center channel

I have some space constraints and I was wondering which center channel would be best for me. The only constraint is that it cannot be more thank 6 inches deep and 10 inches high. Width does not matter. Also, I would prefer it be under $150.

    Oh ok, I see. Thanks.

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

Some more noob questions: What is the "peak" wattage of a subwoofer and why does it matter. Why does it matter if the peak wattage is 475 if my receiver only outputs at 100 watts?

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

    Does anyone know the dimensions of the BIC F-12? Amazon give me one thing (21"H x 19"W x 22"D) but BIC's site (http://www.bicamerica.com/showpage.php?brand=2&type=8&spkrID=84) gives me (17"H x 14 3/4"W x 17 1/4"D)

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

Wow, I forgot about Best Buy. I just popped over there and checked. For $180, that's a great deal. And you're right about the F12's lower extension. I've done a bit of research and concluded that the 505 is better for music by a bit, but the F12 is a lot better for movies and games. And I think...

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

I just compared the both and it seems like the Polk Audio PSW505 is 300 watts continuous vs the Bic F12's 150 watts continuous. The Bic has a 475 watt peak compared to the PSW505's 460 watts. I know wattage isn't everything, but DOUBLE? Which one's better?

I have an Onkyo TX NR-515. That should be good for the Bic F12 right?

Also, does anyone know what the dimensions for the Monitor 40's and CS2 (also the CS1 just in case I end up getting that) are?

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

Great, I'll be getting the CS2 and the 40's probably. Now, about the sub. I know wattage aren't the only things that matter, so I'll ask you, what's the best under $200? Bic F12? Polk PSW505? Bic v1220? Or anything else?

How do the Monitor 40 Series II compare with the Monitor 60 Series II? I'm still debating if I should get a floorstanding model or a smaller "bookshelf" model.

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

Thanks so much. I looked up the Infinity Primus P363 as I saw them on SlickDeals, but Fry's tells me that no such product was found. Not sure why as many people seem fine with locating it. Could you give me a link? Also, I still need to do some measurements to see whether the CS1 or CS2 would...

So I have $2100 for a Home Theater...

Polk Audio Monitor 60 Series II for $99.99. Yes or no? I have a feeling it will be a HUGE YES! Will go great with a CS1 or CS2 Series II. I'll probably be using these as my fronts. If I do spring for them, how much back room should I give them? No side room as no space, maybe just 1 or 2 inches...

Sorry, I meant buying mounts. My terminology's accurate as I'm quite a noob. So how do those "on walls" compare with mounting a Dayton B652 or Sony SS-B1000?
