It's kind of screwy! But it is fun to finally see some of the musical numbers. We finally got to see both of Barbara Eden's! One solo and one with Carol.
Sounds like the episodes aren't presented as originally aired, with sponsor elements and cast commercials? That would be worth a Blu-ray presentation. I bet some episodes still don't have laugh tracks, or they have that weird replacement laugh track.
Hi! I live in Madison WI. You could scroll through a program guide to see if your PBS station is airing the show some other time. I hope everyone gets to see it!
PBS stations are airing hour long unedited episodes of The Carol Burnett Show on Saturday nights. I see it at 6pm Central time. Tonight was the third week. I don't know who is picking which episodes to air. Maybe Carol herself? Tonights guest was Paul Lynde, last week was Ethel Merman.
And some of the episodes have an altered laugh track. I would buy a Flintstones Bluray if the episodes were sourced from the original film and shown exactly as first aired.
Yes, and Z Living is airing sketches that MeTV didn't, like the first Carol & Sis with the short fellow, Super Guy, V.I.P. with Miss America, and Bonnie and Clod. They also ran an hour long episode with some of the songs cut that featured Martha Raye, Carol, Bobbie Gentry and Gwen Verdon as...
I'm seeing season one episodes on the zliving channel that are edited differently from MeTV. There are 'brought to you by' announcements and title cards for some sketches.
What's your view on the laugh track? Since this is billed as 'original broadcasts,' every episode should have laughs, which they don't always when rerun on TV.
I've noticed during the first episodes' opening credits, Bandit isn't shown looking up and smiling while with Hadji. That must start with later episodes?
That is so weird and unexplainable and has been a sore point among fans for years. I'm glad this complete series release of 'Laugh In' has been done so well.
That's a coincidence. The Jo Ann Pflug episode was just on TV. I would have recorded it  to check for the sound drop. Well, as long as there aren't any edits on the first three seasons, I'll be happy.
