    Ok, I understand. Sounds like the RBAUX would be ok for the sub, just not for the rear speakers.

    If I understand correctly, the problem you had with the RBAUX was caused by trying to use it with the line level outputs (speaker terminals) of your receiver?

    Yes, plugging into a power socket is no problem. And my receiver has pre-amp outputs (Marantz SR5006). The little JBL's definitely wouldn't "keep up" but we don't listen to movies all that loud so I think it would be ok from that standpoint. The rocketfish has some really good ratings! I could...
