I have been waiting for The Stationmaster's Wife every since it was announced. I'm a huge Fassbinder fan, so it's what I have been waiting for from Olive. 2014 is supposedly the year it will finally be released, but I remember 2013 being that year too, so not getting my hopes up.
I'm just wondering if these repackages are taking away release slots for true upgrades, because take this away from these announcements (which you should IMO) and you just have 4 releases. Seems light.
But it was out of print so they can put out a dual format. Just wanted to point that out so it doesn't seem like they are upgrading something here. It's just slapping the dvd disc and blu-ray disc together.
I always thought the uncut TV version of Stationmaster's Wife is titled Bolwieser. Just to make sure, the upcoming (hopefully early 2013) Olive release is indeed the TV cut correct and is just keeping the U.S. theatrical title of the film for the release (I understand the news we have says...
Any chance of a blu-ray in the future for Fassbinder's I Only Want You To Love Me? Seems when this came out along with Despair, other regions got both on blu-ray, so was wondering if it might have been a "don't think it will sell" thing, or if we can expect it to be upgraded. Thanks.
