I use the Roku Express on an old 40" Samsung HDTV in a den. Not for home theater.
But, assuming I was using it for something else, how is it a step-down from the Streaming Stick?
Yes, using Roku Ultra.
I'll also add that I am connected directly from the internet router (and not WiFi) to the Onkyo TR-NX 787 A/V Receiver and I'm on Fiber Optic service from Lumos (500mbps up/down).
No problem getting Dolby Atmos in 7.1.2.
The Roku Ultra input source that can be seen on...
I have 7.1.2 Atmos. What does Disney+ send (?),
as my output says 7.1.2,
but it says that for any 5.1 Dolby Digital. For Atmos, the receiver just says Atmos for the Disney+ Atmos streaming shows.
After buying "The Ghost Ship" (plus 2 copies of the Bedlam/Ghost Ship for friends) and never hearing a peep about replacing my missing moth, I never pre-order,
but I make an exception for "Tarzan the Ape Man" (1932), and will do the same if we get a restoration of the next two in the Weissmuller...
Thanks.
Sad that this is so much the norm for older films.
I really hate such. Including an old blu-ray really blurs the product.
I would purchase otherwise.
I purchased 3 copies of Ghost Ship/Bedlam, and I am really disappointed at Warner not stepping up to this in over a year. Long overdue.
I have witnessed many other companies step right up and make replacements for more minor errors than the one in Val Lewton’s “Ghost Ship”.
I want my moth back!
Mine started doing that a year after I purchased.
Too much glue on a couple of those discs.
I then purchased the Region Free UK set which did not have those glue riddled sleeves.
Since then I always replace such packaging immediately and place discs in better cases.
I agree (as the Buck Rogers serial is pretty good), but likely I would buy a restored "Flash Gordon" on Blu-ray just for a 20 minute diversion every week.
This (the link to the screening) says
"from 35mm nitrate original picture negatives, original track negatives and comp dupe negatives."
I thought the original camera negatives burned long ago. Maybe not.
But everyone banters terms around.
So, what does one mean by "Original Picture...
The Vinegar Syndrome Blu-ray (includes 4K as well) of "Gorgo" is really great. I thought this sort of restoration for this film would never happen, and now it is a thrill to see this it this way.
I have the old VCI Blu-ray, and I'm thankful they put it out years ago, but this is a fantastic...
I remember Dunkirk in Imax blasting my ears. I took ear plugs as did one of the friends I met at the screening. We wore them the entire film. Louder than any rock concert.
Is the Smithsonian one of the theaters showing 70mm horizontal Imax ?
Please let me know if it is. On the Imax site, it is not on the list of places showing 70mm horizontal film.
