I would think the best option is an enclosed satellite that can be mounted pointing straight down. My living room has cathedral ceilings and if I ever go to atmos in there, it would need to be something along those lines.

I would love a chance to try out the new Pioneer Elite receiver as well as Dolby Atmos. I have been less than happy with my current receiver, I've wanted to upgrade to an Elite for a while, but the wife always shuts that idea down. This would make the upgrade significantly easier :D
