Monoprice is having a sale today. "Surprise1" gets you 20% off under $500. That means the Monolith 10 at $499. Is $100 off!!! I verified. Time to grab some cables.
I'm also confused as to how these products are wireless. I can take a $20 Echo dot and plug it into any powered monitors and have the same thing. Actually I can take any bluetooth enabled speakers (not just monitors) like a sound bar or JBL and have the same set up.
I was so hopeful that...
I'm sure you'll be fine. I've got speakers that are 20 years old and they sound great. Unless the connections some how got corroded or the rubber is degraded any where then you are good.
You will definitely want a sub or 2. My system is a different animal when my 2 subs are fired up. There are plenty of good budget friendly options available.
If you are only going with 5 speakers and no future plans for more than you can get a very inexpensive AVR from accessories4less.com...
Yikes. Unless you are blocking a window I cant see a good spot. Best bet is kitty corner like the previous owner had their TV. Then just make a rectangle out from the corner with speakers. I would front face 2 subs next to your TV and L/C/R. Wall mounted book shelves for the surrounds. I would...
I'm going through the same issue. My young kids require a light on to play and what not. So obviously the light ruins the picture. I had a nice screen and epson 2300ub and still the light degrades the picture. Im slowly altering my projector HT to a TV based HT. So my thoughts are to add a wall...
100% layout B. My room is only 12 feet from screen to back wall and it's too close IMO but I'm stuck. If I could do it over I would get my seating further away from the screen. So yeah I would not set up your room sideways.
So due to children and space requirements I am altering my 10 year old HT. Swapping from big towers and a big center to 3 in wall speakers for L/C/R.
Took down my projector screen and will eventually put a TV on the wall but for now I'm just projecting onto the freshly painted wall. So yeah...
The RC 64ii has been sold. The RF7's are still available.... I won't ship but I will drive a bit and meet someone. Can't seem to post pics but I can email picture for sure.
I second accessories4less.com . Grab an atmos AVR and, 2 decent bookshelf speakers and a sub. The speakers can later be moved to the rear as surrounds as you upgrade. You can can get a very nice sub for $500 that you can add to later without replacing it and losing money. Monoprice is a great...
I recently purchased some in wall klipsch for L/C/R. I can't review as I am yet to install them (hopefully this week), but I can say that local dealers can basically cut their price in half. The model's I bought at $399 each retail and I got them for $189 each.... so that savings could stretch...
The Klipsch r-5502 are under $400 a pair so that far below your budget. That said I love mine. I went from Klipsch rf7 ii's to these in wall Klipsch to save on space. My room is much smaller than your's however.
Cherry rf-7 ii set. 9.5/10 condition. Looking to clear up space in my home theatre. I also have the rf-64 ii as well. $2000 for all or $1600 for just the 7's. Located in Massachusetts and will not ship. No boxes either.
I have many things I would do different. 1st is to use sound proofing in my ceiling (HT room is in basement). 2nd is to run speaker wire, RCA, HDMI, and power to a couple of ectra spot for the future. 3rd is pay more attention to lighting, not the placement but the kind of lighting. I used...
