I live in a small town. I listen to the Onkyo TX-NR708 at the local store. Didn't really like the look of the receiver, and sound didn't impress me, but, it was the 708 model and not the 808. Think I'm ruling out the Onkyo. Could be wrong, but I am. I plan to purchase something shortly...
