That's interesting, Knight Rider is my physical copy on Bluray but Dukes was given to me by a mate on USB but it is definitely 2K/1080P from what I can tell?

I've been enjoying Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider on bluray. Shows from my childhood now in HD! Great to relive these old memories in magnificent quality.

I have the Fabulous films version, yes it has the original music but unfortunately the picture quality is still poor 480P/SD

What are the chances of this show ever getting a HD/Bluray release? 3 seasons 1987-1990, one of those periods where episode final edits were done onto videotape/480P? So would I be correct in saying it would need new transfers cut from the masters? Not to mention the massive amount of 60's...

It was shown here in Australia on cable in the early to mid nineties on a station called TV1. Can someone explain to me what edited broadcast masters actually are in comparison to the originals?

Further to my earlier post, Fabfilms were also told by Universal that they don't have the original masters, just some heavily edited broadcast masters.

Just an update. My source has descibed this pursuit as an ongoing nightmare!! Universal has 16mm masters, they are inter-neg??? He says it is do-able but expensive. They are getting one sent to them for a test and a budget. Let's hope Universal dont put it out out of reach money wise. Will...

I gave my word that I wouldn't say anything yet, so I may have said too much already. All I will say is when I asked them of the rumor of BJ rights/masters they said yes they are going for it. I will post any updates when I hear them. Let's hope they can seal the deal!

Season 2 is top notch, picture and audio wise. Still only 2.0 but very impressed with this so thanks to Fabulous Films. Can't wait for season 3!! :D
