Actually since that post I switched back to a Dolby CP650 which, with a special card has built in EX. So I'm not using my SA-10 any longer. Works much better.
I don't usually recommend a movie but if you haven't seen it yet and are looking for a wild, seat of your pants movie, go to Netflix and stream FEAR. Two seasoned stars and the ending is a nail biter.
Re-programmed my automation to bring up the house lights when the actual movie fades and before the credits start so if you don't want to sit through the credits you can get out of your seat and move about with some light. Curtain doesn't close until the end of the credits.
FWIW, I had success in a smaller room turning two 18 inch subs toward each other about 9 feet apart. If nothing else it really enhanced the "sub" effect. Every room is different.
A real treat tonight.... First movie featuring DTS. Back to 1993 and Jurassic Park. 35MM 1:85:1, DTS with a Dolby digital back up. This is the one that started it all.

Finally!!! That little chore took a week but it's all done now. My tech (former QSC audio specialist) spend three hours EQ'ing the room (surprisingly very close to the old Dolby 500 settings) replacing several db25 cables for the new configuration and finally running a 25 foot db9 cable...
