Would anybody guess how much it would cost for a complete 77 Sunset Strip series, 206 episodes on Blu-ray for $189.95 would be my guess if it ever happens!
It was Hal Hopper, presumably multi-tracking his vocals w/echo delay
He and Douglas Heyes wrote the theme song. Should get it now by Saturday from Amazon.
Wouldn't mind seeing Cheyenne, Maverick, Sugarfoot, Bronco, and Lawman on BD. Maybe The Dakotas, Temple Houston, F Troop, and those of MGM-TV origin, The Travels of Jamie Mc Pheetres, A Man Called Shenandoah, and Hondo would all benefit from remastering on BD!
I'd like to see Have Gun Will Travel come out on Blu-ray, where the earlier episodes of seasons 1-3 are re-mastered in HD. Maybe even sponsor spots could be included along with billboards during opening and closing credits, my dream BD set!
Straightaway a.k.a. The Racers, in it's only season on ABC in 1961-62, srarring Brian Kelly and John Ashley, could be a possibility, because it was a Racer Production, do you think it's possible, David?
I have three best of Naked City boxed sets 1-2, and 3, totaling 36 episodes from seasons 2-3-4 with selected original commercials, sponsor billboards, and ABC network bumpers, along with a couple of PSAs.
And I have the same set, too, plus I still have several volumes of the best of the 12-episode DVD collections with the original commercials and ABC ID bumpers!
It was produced by Bernard Prockter for Proctor Television Enterprises, distributed by MCA-TV. I'd say it's in the public domain and not with Universal.
Jefferson Drum? That was a Goodson-Todman/Screen Gems production (Sony). I'd like to see Temple Houston be released, The Travels of Jamie McPheeters (MGM/Turner), The Rounders, same as TOJMcP, and those detective shows!
I purchased World of Giants last month on Blu-ray and it is a real blast to watch a six-inch espionage agent. Why even Marshall Thompson as Mel Hunter can even break down that fourth wall to close each episode!
