All I can say is "SONY......WHAT THA @&$%". I bought a Sony XBR TV and a Sony BDV-IS1000. Same problem you all have listed before. Got friends to bring over five different types of HDMI cables.......Same Problem (no S-air surround speakers). I have it if I unplug the HDMI cable. Even tried...
