Stephen Tu thank you very much! you were unfortunately right, that crappy Denon 1700 really does not support sound over HDMI :frowning: but how did you know that? i mean when i bought it (less than a year ago) i saw 4 HDMI's i was sure!!! it would support audio as well as video... :rolleyes

1709 is 2009 edition and has 4 HDMI exits

i have: 2 hdmi cables 1 PS3 1 Denon 1709 reciever 1 Samsung "LA37A450C1V " I connect one HDMI cable from Ps3 to Reciver and then with the second HDMI cable i connect reciver and TV i do get the visual but none of the sound.... :frowning: what am i doing wrong?

hello im all new to this exiting home theater scene recently i have bought 2 floorstanding speakers "jbl northridge n38" and a center speaker of the same serie mt question is what bookshelf speakers and subwoofer should i buy that will fit my current speaks squad? thanks in advance
