I think we're still a few years off from OLED technology for the manufacturers to really ramp up production. A lot of them are still trying to recover LCD glass factory costs! In the 100" sizes I think next few years we'll see a lot of 1080P projector TV's as the energy consumption of 100"...
As with any technology there is a substantial premium for marginally better performance. I think if you're on a tight budget (as I am these days) go for the 720p and wait a few years for the 1080p prices to come down... but that's just my opionion...
I dunno I bought a Epson from a site a few years back, the case looked sort of scratched up but the retailer swore it was brand new. Low and behold less than 100 hours in the bulb blows out. Of course the retailer claimed shipping damage... :angry:
I actually just received my AAXA tech P1 pico projector which I am reviewing for another blog, but I will be happy to post my review it here. Manufacturer claims 12 lumens, 640x480 - we'll see
