So I finally built a custom sub for my home theatre (DB10 Titanic, custom configured by RobertJ), How on earth do I set my speakers to "small"?? I was admitedly up to late configuring the new setup with audeyssey, but I cant find how to do this. Please help! The reciever is an Onkyo TxSR606...
Have you actually tried a different cable? I know you think it's not the cable, but I would try that first! Until you eliminate that it may always be your problem! I haven't had any problems with my sony blu-ray player.
I've had my TV over the fire place for over a year now..I literally had no other place to put it! My fireplace has a wood fired insert in it which I heat our house with during the winter, I have yet to have an Issue, in the end you have to do what works best for you! Not everyone lives in the...
I guess I'm lucky, My wife doesn't care...She complained a little bit, but as soon as we watched an hd movie in full surround all she could do was smile. She told me the other day, when we do finally build a house, I want to make sure it has a dedicated home theater!

I have the TX-SR606, I absolutely love it! Speaker setup with audyssey was so easy!
Do the speakers have two separate connections (4 post, 2 red, 2 black)? Maybe I'm confused, but i would assume that you could run 4 speaker wires 1 set to each speaker?. I have to do ceiling mounted speakers for my rear surrounds (due to living room layout (I'm using the polk R60i's) .
My 606 is out in the open, but I would never enclose mine in a cabinet. Out in the open it doesn't get very hot at all, but you can definitely feel some warmth at the top vent. My wife complained about it for a few days but after hearing the system and watching a couple movies she could care less.
So I got my front three speakers set up last night (haven't set up the rears yet). I ran the audyssey set up and heard the test tone from all three speakers. When I switch the receiver to My blu-ray player I have audio from the speakers. On the receiver it says "dvd hdmiThrough" and I can see...
I do already own the speakers (energy take classic). On either side of the fire place (which you cant see and I screwed up the drawing) there is roughly 2 feet of room to mount speakers! I can also mount one of the speakers where the chair is as its moving to the other side of the room near the...
Hello everyone,
What I really need help with is speaker placement. As you will see below, my room layout is a very difficult one for surround sound, but I know it can be done! What you dont see is the bottom 4 feet of the wall is actualy exposed beams and panels, its quite nice and very solid...
I love my Cables from Monoprice.com the quality is awesome, and the price is unbeatable. I bought 3 of a their 3 foot hdmi cables which go from my bluray player, my directv hd dvr,and my PS3 to my reciever and one of their 30ft CL2 in wall rated gold plated connector cables that connects to my tv!
Robert,
I'm in the process of upgrading my first surround sound system (energy take classic), what 3 front speakers would you recommend? My budget is $600 and its a medium size room. Sorry to hijack.
