Have said this before (OT), but I think it still bears repeating-- I feel the same way about Universal's releases (single-season and all-in-one) of Emergency!, in that quite a bit of that 70s NBC medical/action series (much of the third season, almost all of the fourth, and all of the fifth) was...
Here lately, the CD/DVD drive on my computer has just plain quit on me, so now I am (as of right now) unable to document the episodes I see here, because I'm unable to get the screenshots for them; my nephew, however, is going to get me an external CD/DVD drive which I can plug up by USB, and if...
And (I forgot to add it to this thread) here's the Abstract Torch of Columbia Pictures, from that Seems Like Old Times opening from 1980 I spoke of before in this thread.
Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of shopping there myself-- unfortunately, I had to do that recently for my late father's funeral, to find a button-down shirt (which I wore with the sleeves rolled up and without a tie); I wanted a short-sleeved shirt, but this was the next best thing, IMO.
Seems Like Old Times from Columbia Pictures in 1980 (w/Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn et al.); opening theme plays over Columbia's Sunburst/Abstract Torch...
That's something I hadn't seen before up to now-- it seems also that the tall-peak Mtn. is out of sync, as the music of it starts on the IAW card (possibly even the Barton Dean logo), and ends before that logo fades out (also love the Serif Gothic font for the end titles here).
BTW, was...
OT-- they do have HDs for 70s crime dramas like The Streets of San Francisco, do they not? I am thinking they do, per how I'm reading what you've said here.
That's why I couldn't enjoy the apparently remastered third-, fourth- and fifth-season episodes of Emergency!, even though they look better than what's on Universal's DVD releases-- the commercials out the yin-yang (that's why, as bad as the DVD prints look, they are, IMO, still the best option...
They almost teed me off-- I was purchasing two things this time with my debit card; one was Universal's all-in-one DVD of the hit CBS Bixby/Ferrigno Incredible Hulk, and the other was the preorder of that upcoming Blu of The Act (that hit Hulu limited series w/Joey King and Patricia Arquette). I...
Two things just now from Amazon--
--All-in-one DVD of The Incredible Hulk (Bixby/Ferrigno 1978-82 CBS classic by that name)
--Pre-order of The Act Blu (the hit King/Arquette limited series about the Gypsy Rose/Dee Dee Blanchard affair)
Have indirectly taken checkers on T.J. Hooker...
...by finishing Season 2 (and to be honest, while I didn't see every single second of every single episode, the second season had enough exciting moments to keep me interested most of the time).
The last two episodes, IMHO, were very well...
