My son plays Madden at the neighbor's on a Playstation. He wants the hand held controller like the playstation controller. I am trying to convince him to try the regular Wii remote before buying the old style controller.

Planning on buying this soon and wanted to get everyone's thoughts who have played it. Should I get the old style controllers or just stick w/ the Wii remote and nunchuck. Any advantages or disadvantages either way ?

The cable I got from them on Monday sucks. The color is way off and I got a terrible buzzing sound coming from the speakers.

I got the cables in the mail on Monday and hooked up the Wii. This did work, but the color was way off and there was this terrible buzzing sound coming from the speakers. I would not recommend buying these cables.

I meant what does the Toslink cable connector look like, but I figured it out and it works. The Wii is set-up, the DVD player is connected, and I have sound from the speakers. Thanks Again.

Thanks, but that's the wrong TV. I think these are the spec's from their current 42" plasma. The plasma I have does have 2 component video & 2 composite video connectors. I also have no HDMI input.

Thanks. I'll get a set of component video cables. The plasma has a video and audio out to connect to a another monitor. Could I connect the Wii to the other monitor and transmit the video and audio over to the plasma ?

The Plasma TV has 2 components video in's, not just 1.

VSX-D608. And no, it does not have an HDMI connector. Also the TV has (2) component in's, not just 1.
