My personal opinion to the guy who started the thread is to get the TXSR605. But for the two of you I would like to comment on a few of your comments. Onkyo recievers are known for running warm to hot. They have since there new line up came out in 04-05. It's always been a problem but not...
Here is a link to an article I wrote for the new Audio formats that might help you out some... Abt - Consumer Electronics Store and Appliance Store | Electronics -Nick-
I don't see a problem with the Ipod idea? Unless your against that? They have some new DLO docks with the On Screen and everything so it's not as bad as it might seem and then you have a portable player as well! -Nick-
That new sony system. Sorry for the vague comment but I can't remember the model #. It has two round speakers and a sub. Sounds great for the price. -Nick-
What exactly was the resolution to the Mic problem? I have a customer who just purchased a 3808 and is having trouble with the subwoofer getting an error code everytime he runs it. I was just curious to your fix? -Nick-
tigerdirect.com and newegg.com sell standalong fans that you can get and plug into the back of the reciever. Also those plugs on the back only work when the unit is on so in others words it'll turn on/off w/ the reciever. -Nick-
I don't think it's important but it's available on almost everything now-a-days. I stick to Component and Optical still due to the fact that HDMI is still iffy. But when trying to get a full 1080p HDMI is very important due to the fact that most players don't output 1080p via Component...
RG6u and or RG55...thats what your gonna want to run. Recomended RG6 if thats what you were lookin' at already. Thats all you need once you run the wire. -Nick-
^^^I think you posted that comment on the wrong thread lol. I would say your safe with the a3 but if it's not that much more to upgrade to the A35 then go for it. I think overall it's a better player from the reviews. Why not treat urself good, it's your christmas present, get what you want...
Onkyo TXSR605, Denon AVR2308CI, Denon AVR1908, Pioneer VSX90TXV are all good recievers that are going to get the job done. As for DVD's, it's kind of an endless list. You have a budget in mind? -Nick-
No offense but I don't tend to agree with some of your statements. The guy really isn't that wrong because they didn't release smaller size tv's that are 1080p capable till I believe this month or last. I also don't follow the whole digital in etc.? I also don't believe it's a waste of money to...
All the speaker mentioned are amazing speakers! The Klipsch and Defintive are the only ones I can comment on though since I sell both of them. Definitive techonology and Klipsch are both going to suite your needs. Klipsch has horn tweet techonology and great woofer response. Definitive on most...
No PCM probably isn't the setting you want it on. Most HD movies allow you to select what format of audio should be outputing. If not then it's a setting on your onkyo player but it honestly sounds like it's just the HD player and you just need to change it really quick. -Nick-
I always recomend extended warranties. I work for Abt Electronics and would never tell a customer not to buy one. Seriously though I don't even think CC employee's work off of comission anyways. Things go wrong with TV's all the time. 3/4's of the time when something does go wrong it's a...
well since I sell both denon and klipsch and I'm not a best buy lol I am gong to have to say yes you have more then enough power to get a great umf out of those speakers! -Nick-
I sell Kaledescape. One of the best products ever. They are currently the only company that has the rights to do what they do legally. To my knowledge. -Nick-
The tv doesn't do the upconverting the dvd player does. The TV is only going to display what is sent to it. IMO all upconverting DVD players aren't so good. They usually don't have that great of processors in them for the upconvert process and along the way loose a lot of information. -Nick-
