I used the S-Video to set up the OSD, but is there a way to have the volume displayed through the tv input for adjusting the volume while viewing tv?

My dad is looking to have OSD display from his HK330 to his new Panny 700U Plasma. Is it possible to have OSD do this? Or is it just for setup? He is running HDMI from the cable box to the tv and optical from the cable box to the receiver. I tried a composite to get the OSD for calibration...

As an additional question, is there any way to see the volume adjustment on the tv (via the OSD)? The receiver is in a cabinet and therefore unable to be seen during normal viewing. We will be running HDMI from both a BR player and the cable boxt to the TV. Thanks.

I did not try the S-Video yet. I accidentally broke the end off of the only S-Video cable I had trying to unhook the old system and pull cables in and out of cabinets. I did disconnect the HDMI at the TV as well.
