mine is: 1 and 3/4 rack (front and back) of BD 1/4 rack of HD-DVD. also heard two workers talking about how the HD-DVD section is dwindling....and how they"just announced the death of it with the warner announcment" 3 distinct BD displays on end=caps...no HD-dvd displays. but...
Yeah I LOVE my yamaha. since i have had both brands(3801 and v2500) the sound just is better out of the yamaha, so when the funds are ehre i am getting the 1800. i am glad you like your 1800 ai cant wait to have mine!
exactly what i was lloking for!! thanks you I have decided to wait till i move into my new house(next eyar) to upgrade the reciever. hopfully by then the prices in tech might drop a bit. I dont want to go from a 1K reciever to a 350.00(oknyo 605) to get the upgrade. so i will just wait a bit...

thank you, great response, i cant believe people cant see the dif between sd and hd. But yes i can hear the diff between 192 mp3's and cd's so that is a very good comparison. I guess i will have to go audition it in the store...that would be my best bet huh? dont get me wrong...i wil be...
what i meant was the DD on BD to me sounds more dynamic than what i have heard on my 500+ sd dvd's I am usinf reference series Klipsch (rf-7's) with a yamaha v2500 and svs cs+/samson1000.(all calibrated with sp meter, avia etc.) just so you know what i am dealing with. I just was wondering...

im jealous! i just need my yamaha 2500 to sell and then save a little then i will be abck in the denon camp i was a 3801 owner. yamaha is very nice but love the warmth of the denon. it warms up the klipsch reference series for me. the yamaha 1800 is very nice too. looking between the 2 is...
in no particular order: toy story 2(opening) Saving private ryan Live free or Die hard (this one can be interchanged with a lot of movies...but great none-the-less)
i doubt it since with HDM you can bring you discs to other peoples homes and such(also renting discs would become obsolete).... with a hard drive you would have to transport an entire unit. (unless it becomes more like an ipod. but i highly doubt that any time soon)
