Inexpensive HDTV advice - Trying to convert a non-believer!

I think you can buy a Sony Bravia 32" for around $800.00 or close to that. As with anything - you get what you pay for.

What the heck is OPTICAL OUT and why do I want it?

I'm looking to buy a Up Converting DVD player and see several of them don't have an Optical Out. My new Sony 2010 has an Optical Out port. What is this thing and do I want to use it?

    A question on "upconverting"

Does a DVD player with upconverting need HDMI to work or can I use component cables and still get a great picture?

    Paging all Sony Bravia owners....

Picked up my 40" Sony LCD 2010 Bravia the other day and while the HD channels are spectacular, the anlalog channels are really quite....well....blurry in comparrison. Now I know they aren't going to be as great as HD and I'm getting a digital signal from my cable company, but I'm wondering if...

One HDMI input on my TV - are there splitters?

Hi My TV only has a one HDMI input port and I'm wondering if someone makes a gizmo that would allow me to plug in more than one HDMI cable. Is there such a thing as a HDMI splitter? Something simple and cheap? Thanks!

    Help with Flat Panel mounts

There's a place here (Milwaukee) called Flanners that sells the Omnimount for I think $450.00. They have a web site that you can check out but because I'm a newbie this message board won't let me post the site address. But if you do a Google search for "Flanners Brookfield, WI " I'm sure it...

    Help with Flat Panel mounts

I'm by no means an expert on this topic. I have yet to buy my big screen TV and mount it. But having warned you, I HAVE spent a ton of time at the local electronic shops. I would look at an Omni Mount system. These are pretty beefy mounts that appear to be well constructed. I think their...

Better Pricing? When to jump in?

Well, I'm a cheap SOB and I've resisted buying a new LCD so far this season. I've seen prices all over the map - Black Friday prices fell sharply and then went back up with some minor reductions up until Christmas. Does anyone have insight as to where prices are going to go from here...

    Best Subwoofer under $400

I have an Infinity PS-12 and I love it. Oh I'm sure the hardcore audio nuts here will laugh at my system but I'm very happy with my PS-12 and I've had it a year now. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the same.
