    I had the same problem as you and have been trying to fix it for a week now and I stummbled across the answer. Make sure you have a Dolby Digital sourse playing on your receiver (DVD with 5.1 on) THEN GO TO: SYSTEM SETUP> SPEAKER SETUP > SPEAKER CONFIG > and just TURN ON...
