Since the rear speakers have to be on the wall, does anyone know how i would wire the speaker wires up to my receiver? I really do not feel like punching holes in my new house, so please help?

Same here, I heard that the horn tweeters on the Acoustech perform very well. I am going to be getting them in a few weeks. They really seem like the best speakers for the best 'bang for buck" Also, does anyone know any websites that sell refurb or cheap AVR's?

I have a few burnt dvd's and the reason im buying a new dvd player is because my old one would not stop skipping when playing burned dvd's. I even used one of those dvd lens cleaning cd's. still no 'real' help. I guess the SONY looks preaty good now.

Which one do you think will perform better with watching VCD's and burned dvds?

The sony looks much better and looks like it has more features... but the toshiba is much cheaper. Hmm this will be a tough decesion. The sony is also twice as expensive, but will it be twice as better performing? that is the question.

Im probably going to optical cable for sound and component cable for video. Im probably not going to use their HDMI.

Is 14 AWG better than 12 AWG? I was recomended getting 12 AWG but im not sure. Is the higher the AWG the better? I wont be needing 100ft, probably 20 - 50 ft will work fine. Also, how do you think I should mount the BIC Center speaker? It is quite large and I dont think it will look attactive...

I went back to costco this weekend and noticed that 50" is alot bigger than I though compared to the 42". I think i'l be getting 50" now, the Panasonic TH-50PX6U for 2499.99 looks awsome. But I also noticed a Toshiba 50" plasma (50HP16) as well for also the same price (2499.99)

Why a 50" is not so appealing to me any more is because when you are watching normal TV signals, you are basically blowing up the picture *alot* more on a 50" than on a 42"........ im not sure if the TV quality will be the same on the 42" then on the 50". Will there be some quality difference...

do you guys think that a 50" plasma will be much more bigger than a 42"? It does seem like a preaty significant difference to me... but im not sure if I will be able to sacrifice picture quality. By the way, I am curently a use of dish network, is there any way to improve my signal quality...

Yes, I also like the Panasonic. But but price is only a few hundred away from the 50" Maxent. The Maxent seems like a better deal but the Panasonic looks like it has the best pictures........ Will the 50" Maxent really perform that poorly? It looked great in the store........ well all of them...

But the BIC Acoustech setup is for 5.1 right? It comes with 2 speakers in the front, a center channel, and 2 rears, and a sub..... is that considered 5.1 or 6.1? I thought 6.1 was 6 speakrs along with a sub....
